Hypnotherapy services are offered for self-improvement, behavior change, and personal development in accordance with California Business and Professions Code section 2908. These services are not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychological treatment, medical care, or crisis care from a licensed provider.
When Hypnosis Is Appropriate
Hypnosis may be a helpful support tool for stress reduction, relaxation, confidence-building, habit change, emotional regulation, performance preparation, and other personal development goals. It may also be used as part of a broader wellness or coaching process when appropriate.
Hypnosis is not a substitute for medical care, psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment, crisis care, or emergency services.
My services are intended for educational, supportive, and personal development purposes only unless otherwise stated. I do not diagnose medical or mental health conditions, prescribe medication, or provide emergency or crisis intervention services.
If your needs fall outside the scope of my services, or if a different level of care appears more appropriate, I may recommend that you seek evaluation, treatment, or support from a licensed medical, mental health, or other qualified professional.
For the safety and well-being of all clients, I reserve the right to pause, decline, or discontinue services and refer out when appropriate. Referral to a licensed provider or other qualified professional may be recommended in situations including, but not limited to:
symptoms that suggest a medical or psychiatric condition requiring diagnosis or treatment
active suicidal thoughts, self-harm risk, or thoughts of harming others
psychosis, delusions, hallucinations, or significant breaks from reality
severe depression, mania, substance-related instability, or other symptoms that may require higher-level care
severe trauma symptoms, dissociation, or destabilization that would be better addressed in a specialized clinical setting
physical symptoms that should first be evaluated by a physician or other licensed medical provider
situations in which the client’s needs are outside my training, scope, or professional capacity
Clients are responsible for sharing relevant medical, psychological, and treatment history to the best of their knowledge so that services can be offered as safely and appropriately as possible.
By engaging in services, you acknowledge that hypnosis and coaching are collaborative processes and that results may vary from person to person.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, thoughts of harming someone else, or any medical emergency, do not wait for a hypnosis or coaching session. Please call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or contact an appropriate crisis resource immediately.
By booking a session, you acknowledge that services may be declined or referred out when clinically or ethically appropriate.
Hypnosis can be a powerful support for relaxation, confidence, emotional regulation, and personal growth. At the same time, it is important to recognize when a different kind of care is needed.
My services are not a replacement for medical treatment, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or emergency support. If concerns arise that are outside the scope of hypnosis or coaching, I may recommend that you work with a licensed medical or mental health professional, either instead of or alongside our work together.
This may include situations involving crisis, self-harm risk, severe trauma symptoms, psychosis, significant mood instability, substance-related concerns, or symptoms that should first be medically evaluated.
My goal is to work responsibly, ethically, and in a way that supports your well-being.
